Lego Is Making a ‘Power Rangers’ Megazord

Lego’s Ideas line, the crowd-supported, fan-designed community series, has given us everything from Goonies to Twilight sets, with plenty more on the way. Now, even more sets are officially joining Lego’s to-do list, including some spandex-clad teens with attitude.

This morning Lego announced the results for its first 2025 review stage for Lego Ideas, where 57 sets were up for potential confirmation as a set, having reached the necessary 10,000 supporters on the Lego Ideas platform—the most Lego has ever considered in a single review window. Of that 57, an unprecedented six were confirmed as brand new sets, with another three being held for further review.

In keeping with the oversized theme of this round of reviews, the biggest set of the six confirmed was the “Go Go Power Rangers! LEGO Megazord” project by TrumanBricks. Clocking in at an estimated 1,225 pieces (bearing in mind that the fan design will be tweaked and inevitably see changes as it is developed into an official Lego set), TrumanBricks’ design incorporates the classic Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers‘ Megazord design with the ability for it to break down into the Rangers’ five individual Zords, as well as be recombined into a roughly 14″ tall mech. And of course, it includes the five original members of the team—Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly—as minifigures.

But the Megazord wasn’t the only project confirmed. Four licensed sets—alongside Power Rangers, sets inspired by E.T. the Extraterrestrial, The Smurfs, and Downton Abbey—were approved alongside two original ideas, including a Day of the Dead-themed model of La Calavera Catrina and an intricate model of a bowl of ramen.

Lego also held three more sets for further review, meaning they could potentially still be confirmed as sets down the line—a Golden Girls set recreating the famous kitchen, a Daft Punk concert build, and display piece inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea.

There’s no window on when any of these confirmed sets will actually become a reality—they join a now increasingly long line of approved Ideas sets waiting to happen, including the likes of Wallace & Gromit, X-Files, Godzilla, and more. That should at least give you time to prepare your wallets
